About Farm Camp 2018

Farm Camp - A Summer Day Camp for Kids in Connecticut!

Devon Point Farm Camp is an on-the-farm, week-long summer day camp full of learning and fun for children ages 4 to 12.

Click Here for Farm Camp Registration Form.

Devon Point's Farm Camp is located in Woodstock, Connecticut, in the northeast corner of CT, just minutes from Massachusetts & Rhode Island!

Our campers are part of an amazing outdoor classroom! This is no daycare, this is an opportunity to learn & have fun in a beautiful setting filled with things to discover & lessons to help your children throughout life.

Parents, we want to offer your child an opportunity to experience science, biology, horticulture, animal husbandry and nutrition in our living classroom.

We believe your children should come home tired, happy, possibly wet & hopefully dirty, but definitely filled with new experiences and life lessons.

Our camp is an evolving process so one year to the next will likely be different. It’s our goal to show your children that learning & fun can go hand in hand & don’t require a video screen and a plug!

Learning the way nature intended it to be, great hands-on outdoor learning & fun at it’s best. From people who care about you, your family, our environment and our society.

New in 2018!:

• All new curriculum for returning campers!

• Farm Camp Gardens grown by farm campers, for farm campers.

• Many new additions to our farm camp animal menagerie!

Devon Point Farm Camp Mission and Curriculum Statement:

At farm camp campers will gain environmental literacy through a variety of activities. Children will grow and harvest organic vegetables in their own Farm Camp Garden. With their hands in the soil they will gain understanding of where their food comes from and the importance of clean, organic food and supporting local agriculture. In caring for our menagerie of farm animals campers will learn that living things need more than just food and water to thrive. Observing and caring for animals instills a sense of responsibility and respect for life. Care of animals brings increased sensitivity and awareness of the feelings of others - both human and animal. Also, each day we will let loose and cool off with some water games, create some earthy art and read farm stories in addition to activities like hunting for frogs and taking nature walks. Most of all we will have fun exploring, playing, learning and building relationships in our beautiful farm setting. With lots of fresh air, sun, mud and sweat the summer days will pass quickly but will not be soon forgotten.

 More Information for Parents:
